Children's Home Classroom
This children's interior was created for a mom home schooling her two young children. Her design challenge included creating a space that kept the children's interest, set up four learning stations (teaching, make-believe, computer, and administrative), and fit within a very small budget. Taking on the challenge, AEJ addressed all concerns within this space. Instead of putting in physical dividers which could possibly turn into obstacles later, the room was sectioned of using color and pattern. Very bold colors were chosen, as well as very bold patterns.
For example a small make - believe stage was created for the room, the wall for that station became a bold diamond checkered pattern. The wall that shares two stations computer and teaching share the same pattern. The remainder of the space is a bold cranberry color. Accessories and window treatments were chosen that kept within the primary colors , which emphasize part of the learning activity that goes on within this space. The overall budget for materials for this room was $200. Only $174 of that was used for purchasing materials. Residential Renovation
This residential project cost more in time than financial budget. Emphasizing the importance of proper deadline communication as well as communicating budget parameters. This project spanning a two month completion, included; lots of woodwork renovation, paint scheme, layout and accessories. As with any renovation project, peeling away the layers of previous owners can prove to be difficult and time consuming. The home shown here is approximately 55 years of age. One of the challenges that came up during installation was how to patch a lathe and plastered wall.
Among finding solutions to many restoration issues, the color scheme and overall atmosphere of the end result had to be kept in mind. The end result uncovered warm, beautiful woodwork that had been painted over for many years, and reemphasized the existing fireplace that provided a cozy elegance for the space. Dollhouse Customization

This was a fun project from the heart. A lot depends on the actual dollhouse kit chosen for assembly. But the possibilities prove endless in customizing dollhouses. Every aspect of this project was fun from choosing the wallpapers and paint colors to choosing fabric for the floor and throw pillows. That is as far as this particular dollhouse went as far as custom design, however customization is infinite. This is the perfect mix between the fun world of children, and design.
